The Hoffman Challenge celebrates it's 29th anniversary this year.  Each year, a team from Hoffman Fabrics chooses an upcoming fabric design and then issues a challenge to quilt, clothing,and accessory makers to create an original item using the fabric.  The challenge curator and a group of assistants jury the entries and then a select team of judges chooses the award winners.

The juried collections then travel to be exhibited by quilt and other fiber guilds, shops, museums, and textile shows. We're proud to present the 2016 Hoffman Challenge fabric and the coordinating fabrics.  Every one of the fabrics in this line is beautiful. In 2016, for the first time, the Hoffman Challenge Fabric comes in two colorways,  the Opal with white background, and the Onyx with black background. Either, or both may be used in the Challenge. These fabrics are digitally printed using fine 100% cotton yard goods. This is, each year, the top of the line in Hoffman's fabric collection. Even if you have no intention of entering the competition, you need to have some of these beautiful fabrics.  They will, without a doubt be among the finest fabrics you've ever experienced.
